Thousands face homelessness. We guide our neighbors toward long-term housing solutions.
We support people who are unhoused or facing eviction in East Multnomah County, particularly immigrants and survivors of abuse. We offer low-barrier housing and invest in community well-being through local partnerships.

About Us
In response to the urgent homelessness crisis affecting over 18,000 individuals in Oregon, Portland, and East Multnomah County, East County Housing was established in 2021.
We are deeply moved by the harmful effects of homelessness on the physical bodies and minds of our neighbors, particularly those in the Rockwood community. Because of this, we are dedicated to making safe, affordable, and economical housing more available throughout the region.
We understand that helping people find stable housing does more than just provide a roof over people’s heads—it lays the groundwork for healthier, happier, more fulfilling family lives. It means families have a private place to gather, away from the public spaces of the streets or shelters. It means kids have safe places to invite friends and participate in community events.
Our work goes beyond short-term fixes. We are dedicated to creating a lasting change through permanent housing, breaking the cycle of instability. Our goal is clear: we want to ensure that every person from Rockwood and other vulnerable communities has a safe, permanent home. And we are committed to helping these families succeed in all areas of life.
